Tokusatsu Director Nobuo Yajima Passes Away at 91

Nobuo Yajima, known for lending a hand in tokusatsu series such as Uchuu Keiji Gavan and Samurai Reincarnation has passed away.

Yajima passed away on November 28, 2019 due to old age. He was born on July 24, 1928 in Saitama Prefecture and has worked with companies such as Shochiku and Toei. In addition to working on television series such as: Uchuu Keiji Gavan, Ultraman Taro, and Mirror Man, his film works include: Samurai Reincarnation, as well as Legend of the Eight Samurai, movies he worked with the late Kinji Fukasaku.

In 1965, he also established the Tokusatsu Kenkyujyo, a company that handles special effects and visual effects in TV and film.
