Toei Casting Extras for Kamen Rider Zero-One
Tokusatsu fans in Japan now have the chance to be in Kamen Rider Zero-One.
With Kamen Rider Zi-O set to end next week, production for the next show, Kamen Rider Zero-One, is well underway. Members of the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club (TTFC) have a special opportunity to be casted as extras in the upcoming series as Toei has sent out a casting call to recruit volunteers. Extras will be playing fans attending an anime event wearing blue, red, green, orange, and purple. The details are as follows.
Participants will be expected to arrive in the clothes they will film in, and the episode is set to take place in the Fall. The chosen volunteers will also be given a document about the anime works in the show, so they can prepare handmade goods which fans would be likely to have. Kamen Rider merchandise will be prohibited.
Applicants should be in good health and aged 7 or older. Although, junior high students and anyone younger are asked to participate with a parent. Applicants must be members of the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club, but each applicant may bring up to four non-members as companions. Companions must bring an ID, and the TTFC member must participate on the day of filming. Finally, applicants must be prepared and able to participate on the day of filming.
Filming is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 29th, in Saitama Prefecture. The meeting time is set for 7:30-8 am, and the event will end at 18:00 (6 pm). Specifics regarding meeting time will be listed in an email sent to volunteers. Breakfast and lunch will not be provided, and participants are advised to bring water to prevent heat stroke. The application period is August 16th at noon until August 20th at 23:59 (11:59 pm). All times are local to Japan.
Only selected applicants will be notified of their result via email, and the email should be sent “around August 21st” at 21:00 (9 pm). Participants must bring an ID and their TTFC digital membership card via the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club app. Applicants should be prepared to receive an email from “@ tokusatsu-sp.jp”. Finally, participants are refrained from publishing the contents of anything from shooting as this could result in being unable to participate in future casting calls.
Kamen Rider Zero-One, the first Reiwa Kamen Rider show, is set to premiere on September 1st.
