Summary of Zi-O SG Watcher: Vol.48

Bandai’s candy toy blog series for Kamen Rider Zi-O updates with a reveal for SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O: RIDE 11.

The man currently in charge of candy toy development goes by G, and in honor of Zi-O, he is now going by the name Gi-O.

The blog focuses on Kamen Rider Zi-O, Mirror World Version, which is part of RIDE 11! This is of course the evil counterpart to Zi-O from the Ryuga arc.

Being that it’s a mirrored version of the Zi-O suit, the figure features some new parts, but not as many as you’d think since the suit is pretty symmetrical. Apart from some stickers being reversed, the main changes are in the helmet and Ziku-Driver. Included as well are mirrored versions of the Zikan Girade in both modes – for once, both weapon modes in one set!

A cute detail with this set is the fact that the box’s layout is flipped, though all of the text and logos are kept intact. Gi-O speaks a bit about how he wanted to do at least some minor alteration to lean into the Mirror World element, so the emblem for Zi-O in the background is also flipped.

I suspect they wouldn’t have been able to go too far with this joke since they do still need to sell these in stores.

And that’s items 3 and 4 of RIDE 11. The Cross Armor Set for this figure also comes with the tablet device used by White Woz.

Gi-O previously provided a schedule for August, and this week’s reveal was previously described as something simple and something that was a curveball – there was a coded message, highlighted in green text, that spells out “Shi ki shi” – this is in reference to the Kamen Rider Shikishi ART line. For those unfamiliar, these are a series of candy toy products that are like trading cards, but with just the artwork.

So yeah, here are the illustrations for Kamen Rider Shikishi ART 4! This part of the blog is hosted by N-Kishi, who is in charge of tokusatsu illustration.

The main focus for this one is the newly revealed artwork for Kamen Rider Zero-One, with a nice illustration of GrandZi-O and all the Heisei Riders. Also included are illustrations which relate to major moments in various shows.
