Kamen Rider Zero-One Belt Sounds To Be Performed by Monkey Majik
Two of the band members in Monkey Majik will provide sounds for the latest installment in tokusatsu transformation devices.
On August 4th, it was announced that Kamen Rider Zero-One‘s belt will have unique sounds performed by members of the band Monkey Majik. The jingles and transformation sounds that come from a Kamen Rider belt have been a calling card to the series in recent years.
The band Monkey Majik is a four member group which originates in Japan. Two of the current band members are Canadian brothers, Maynard and Blaise Plant, with Tax Kakuchi and Dick Mori being the other two Japanese members. The Plant brothers will be the ones providing the sounds. The band has been active since 2000 and have released multiple albums with mainstream worldwide success. Blaise Plant took to his Instagram to post about the exciting news.
This is not Monkey Majik’s first collaboration with Kamen Rider. They previously performed the song “Ray of Light” for Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Chou Super Hero Taisen. The song can be heard in the ending credits. It is expected for them to voice more than just the belt worn by Kamen Rider Zero-One. It has been reported that both English and Japanese will be used and we will hear a mixture of human and android voices.
Kamen Rider Zero-One will debut in Japan on September 1.
