S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Ginga Announced
A new figure from the 25th Ultraman series is coming out this fall.
Earlier this week, Bandai Tamashii Nations announced a new S.H. Figuarts release for Ultraman Ginga. The figure will have an October release for 6,050 yen with pre-orders starting on June 3rd.
Equipped with several accessories, the 150mm figure comes with three sets of interchangeable hands, the Ginga Spark Lance, two color timers, and energy effect parts for the Ginga Cross Shoot beam. Fans will be able to pair the figure up with the Ultraman Victory figure, which will be released this month.
Originally airing in July of 2013, Ultraman Ginga was a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Ultraman franchise from Tsubaraya Productions. The series received a direct sequel the following year in Ultraman Ginga S.
With this S.H. Figuarts release, this now means that each main Ultraman from the last six years has their own figure. To commemorate this, actors Takuya Negishi (Hikaru / Ginga), Kiyotaka Uji (Sho / Victory), Kensuke Takahashi (Daichi / X), Hideo Ishiguro (Gai / Orb), Tatsuomi Hamada (Riku / Geed), Yuya Hirata (Katsumi / Rosso) and Ryosuke Koike (Isami / Blu) participated in a photo shoot with their individual S.H. Figuarts action figures.
