Kamen Rider Kiva’s Koji Seto to Star in Digital Tattoo TV Drama
Kamen Rider Kiva actor Koji Seto will portray a famous Youtuber in NHK’s TV Drama Digital Tattoo.
On May 18th, NHK will be airing a TV special named Digital Tattoo. The term “digital tattoo” refers to how someone’s internet presence affects their life in the real world.
The plot of the special follows a middle-aged prosecutor named Kentaro Iwai, played by Katsumi Takahashi. He is investigating a case revolving around a politician’s secretary suicide and, in frustration with the case, he quits to practice as a lawyer. He encounters a young man by the name of Taiga, played by Koji Seto, who is a popular Youtuber with millions in web earnings. Taiga shows the lawyer the lasting effects of someone’s “digital tattoo” and how it can drastically hurt some and help others.
Koji Seto is most recognized by tokusatsu fans as Wataru Kurenai from Kamen Rider Kiva, where he plays the titular character. While Seto was known for playing a softer, more vulnerable character in Wataru, he shows a more commanding and knowledgeable presence as Taiga in this new special.
The drama is set to air on May 18th at 9pm and will have a re-broadcasting at 12:55am on May 23.
