Where Are They Now? Heisei Kamen Riders of Phase 2
The Tokusatsu Network catches up with what the most recent Kamen Riders are up to these days
In keeping with bringing you the latest news in regards to all things tokusatsu related, we here at The Tokusatsu Network took some time to check in on how some of our favorite Kamen Rider leading characters are doing after their respective series came to an end.
SPOILER WARNING!!!!
Kamen Rider W – Shotaro Hidari and Philip
Shotaro attempted to branch out into missing persons cases after dealing with lost pets for so long. Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication with Aikiko, instead of ads advertising Shotaro on milk cartons, Shotaro and Philip were listed as the one missing on the milk cartons. Incidentally, Philip has not been seen or heard from since December 10, 2011, just after starting a planet search on the topic of One Piece.
Kamen Rider OOO- Eiji Hino
Ever on the move, Eiji has kept busy looking for Ankh and trying to not get arrested for loitering and washing his boxers in public. He is currently more mobile than before, living out of a van down by the river that most Kamen Riders fall into during battle.
Kamen Rider Fourze – Gentaro Kisaragi
Gentaro went on to teach full time at Amanogawa High while in his spare time writing the best-selling self help book, How To Make Friends And Save The World, with a foreword written by Kengo that he forced him to write. He is currently still seeing Nadeshiko.
Kamen Rider Wizard – Haruto Soma
Having relaxed from his duties fighting the Phantoms, Haruto went on to try his hand at competitive eating. His first major win was unfortunately mired in scandal, as some of the other competitors claimed that Haruto’s pile of donuts seemed to disappear “as if by magic.”
Kamen Rider Gaim – Kouta Kazuraba
After getting bored of being stuck with godlike power and nothing to do, Kouta was able to come back to Earth and get a degree via University of Phoenix Online. Kouta eventually used that degree in marketing to promote the new fruit parfaits at Drupers. He is still earning minimum wage.
Kamen Rider Drive – Shinnosuke Tomari
Having settled down with Kiriko and their young son Eiji, Shinnosuke was able take time away from cases at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to film a several episode run on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in their 78th season.
Kamen Rider Ghost – Takeru Tenkuji
After graduating high school and wanting to feel more helpful, Takeru decided to volunteer in a ghost oriented big brother program mentoring at-risk youth in need of positive role models.
Kamen Rider Ex-Aid – Emu Hojo
Emu was able to finish his training as a doctor. Unfortunately, in order to make ends meet after Pallad rang up some large charges on Emu’s credit card trying to purchase gacha pulls on various cell phone games, Emu was forced to spend his days off from the hospital as the floor manager at a local GameStop.
Kamen Rider Build – Sento Kiryu
Having saved the world, but unable to provide proper identification, Sento has been on the run from the authorities for identity theft. He was last seen fleeing an abandoned Radio Shack with Ryuga Banjo after the neighboring businesses started to complain about the noise coming from one of Sento’s experiments. The Radio Shack spontaneously caught fire shortly thereafter.
