Kabuto’s Grandmother in Kamen Rider Decade, Sumie Sasaki, Passes Away

Sumie Sasaki, who portrayed Souji’s grandmother in the Kabuto world of Kamen Rider Decade, passes away at age 90.

Sumie Sasaki was born on June 22, 1928 and debuted as a stage actress before appearing in several TV dramas and movies. She is most notable for her performances in classic Japanese movies such as A Chain of Islands, The Insect Woman, and Miyuki.

In Kamen Rider Decade, she portrayed Souji’s grandmother who only appeared by name in the original Kamen Rider Kabuto series. Her on-screen appearances were featured in episodes 16 and 17 of Kamen Rider Decade.
