Summary of Zi-O SG Watcher: Vol.21

Bandai’s candy toy blog posted a new entry for Kamen Rider Zi-O, talking about more reveals for SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O: RIDE 6.

The man in charge of candy toy development goes by D, and in honor of Zi-O, he has changed his usual nickname to Di-O.

The blog begins by mentioning that SG RideWatch 05 is out on January 21st. This wave includes SG versions of the new Build Genius Form and Ex-Aid Muteki Gamer RideWatches, based on those Riders’ final forms, along with Wizard, Ryugen and Wizard All Dragon.

“ArmorTime: Agito!”

The SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O reveals continue as the final additions to RIDE 6 are revealed. In one of the last blog posts of 2018, Di-O mentioned the intention to finish off the Heisei Rider Armors with RIDE 6.

AgitoArmor is another design only seen on the toy packaging of its DX RideWatch. It features the “champagne gold” coloring that Agito carries, with shoulder armor made to resemble Agito’s extended crest.

Included with AgitoArmor is a minor change to Geiz’s Zikan Zax – while the original bow mode included with Geiz featured a peg underneath the RideWatch area, this one relocates it to where Geiz would actually hold the bow in the show, effectively creating an empty space where his hand would be. The lever on the back is also stretched out, as though he is preparing to fire.

As Di-O sees it, the SO-DO series for Zi-O has an abundance of armor sets where bonus parts could be included, so he wanted to try it out.

“ArmorTime: Hibiki!”

Additionally, RIDE 6 will include HibikiArmor. This is the last of the Rider Armors seen on DX RideWatch toy packaging, and features Hibiki’s drum design as shoulder armor, a look that Di-O seems to personally enjoy. The use of Hibiki’s horns next to Zi-O’s crest is also, as he says, dazzling.

Included with HibikiArmor are the Ongekibou Rekka, the drumsticks used by Hibiki himself, a notable change of pace from the other Rider Armors that weren’t used in the show or movies. The two drumsticks are accurate to the original designs, with unique face sculpts. Di-O pays tribute to Hibiki with many poses pulled from Hibiki’s musical finishers.

Using Zi-O’s usual open hand, one can also easily replicate Hibiki’s iconic “Shu~” pose.

With that, two more items in RIDE 6 have been revealed, with three more to be revealed at a later date. The comment the blog ends on:

“And now, although I’ve made all of the Heisei leads… I still want to make more… I really feel that there are lots of Riders that must be made, so it’d be greatly appreciated if you’d please continue checking this blog!

So, that’s it for today!

In the next blog, THAT Rider is finally entering SO-DO! We’re planning to update on January 27th, so please look forward to it!”
