Anime Expo 2018 Convention Recap
Team TokuNet contributor Josh Saucedo was at Anime Expo 2018 in Los Angeles, California to cover the tokusatsu cosplayer gathering.
Anime Expo is the west coast’s largest anime convention, drawing several thousand attendees filling the halls of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Spanning several blocks of downtown L.A. with a variety of industry panels, an exhibition hall full of merchandise, plenty of guests, concerts, and the world premiere of SSSS Gridman, Anime Expo had something to offer for all of its four days extending out from the July 4th holiday.
This year, the tokusatsu cosplay gathering location was outside the West Exhibit Hall. The unusually high temperatures may have been a contributing factor in the gathering being smaller than it had in previous years. Fans still braved the sweltering heat to represent their favorite characters from Kamen Rider and Super Sentai.
