Shout! Factory TV to Host Ultraman Leo: The Complete Series Marathon on Twitch
Shout! Factory TV to hold marathon for Ultraman Leo on Twitch on April 18th.
Shout! Factory TV announced they will be collaborating with the popular streaming and social video platform Twitch to host a marathon for the Ultraman Leo series, the 7th entry in the Ultra franchise. This event will be known as the Ultraman Leo: The Complete Series Marathon.
The marathon will be held on Shout! Factory TV’s official Twitch channel at 3:00 PM PT on April 18th – April 21st.
Previously, on March 16th, Shout! Factory TV acquired Ultraman Leo for their streaming collection.
Ultraman Leo originally aired on Tokyo Broadcasting System during April 12th, 1974 – March 28th, 1975. It ran for a total of 51 episodes.
The synopsis of Ultraman Leo is as follows:
Ultraman Leo comes from the planet L77 of the Leo constellation, and takes the human form of Gen Ohtori. Ultraseven appears to fight a new foe, Alien Magma and his two “pets”, the Gillas Brothers. Ultimately, Ultraseven is greatly overpowered and his leg is graphically broken by Black Gillas. Ultraman Leo drives off the foes, but Ultraseven is confined to his human form because of his injuries and due to the Ultraseven being damaged when he attempted to transform. Dan Moroboshi then maintains his role as Captain of MAC (Monster Attack Crew). Gen is a gymnastics teacher on the side and joins MAC to defend the Earth. Gen and Dan regularly train together, allowing Ultraman Leo to learn many moves in human form.
