Ryoma Baba Suspended From Agency for Three Months
Actor Ryoma Baba, known for his role as Blue Buster in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters (Special Operations Sentai Go-Busters) and in Kamen Rider Amazons, has been suspended from his agency for three months.
The agency released a statement, saying “It was discovered that Ryoma Baba committed an act in opposition to the principles of our company, we have decided to suspend his activities for three months, beginning April 24th, 2018,”.
The agency stresses Baba’s actions were not a criminal act, although they were contrary to the philosophy of the company and that the actor had “betrayed the trust” of the agency. They added, “Since his debut, together with his fans’ screams of encouragement, we’ve worked hard and with devotion. Suspending Baba’s activities was a bitter decision to make,”.
Toki Entertainment director Hajime Utsuki commented, “It was a supervision failure due to my lack of leadership,” and “We apologize deeply to everyone who has supported Ryoma Baba.”
Baba also commented, saying, “I have betrayed the trust of the agency and have decided to stop my activities at the moment. I sincerely apologize to you all as this is in conjunction with my 10th anniversary as an actor,”.
