Live-action drama adaptation of Mob Psycho 100 set to Premiere on U.S. Netflix on May 22nd.
On April 24th, the Netflix’s official YouTube channel revealed that the live-action drama adaptation of ONE‘s Mob Psycho 100 web comic will be premiering on May 22nd. This can be seen in their video below at the 1:46 mark.
The series premiered on Japanese Netflix on January 12th. In addition to that, it aired on Terebi Tokyo’s “MokuDora 25” time slot on January 18th, and BS Japan on January 23rd.
As previously reported, Tatsuomi Hamada, who plays Riku Asakura/Ultraman Geed from Ultraman Geed, portrays the titular protagonist Mob; Kazuki Namioka (Sid/Kamen Rider Sigurd from Kamen Rider Gaim) portrays Mob’s master Arataka Reigen, and Nogizaka46 member Yūki Yoda portrays Mob’s childhood friend and crush Tsubomi Takane.
The live-action drama adaptation of Mob Psycho 100 was a joint collaboration between Terebi Tokyo and Netflix. Furthermore, prolific director Koichi Sakamoto (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, Kamen Rider W) helmed the drama alongside Koba Fuminori as producer and Reiko Yoshida and Kei Kunii as writers for the scripts.
