Ultraman Geed’s Tatsuomi Hamada to Play Mob in Live Action Mob Psycho 100 Drama
Tatsuomi Hamada to play the titular protagonist in the live action version of famous web comic that will be directed by Koichi Sakamoto.
Terebi Tokyo and Netflix have revealed they are collaborating on a live-action drama adaptation of the famous web comic Mob Psycho 100 by the author ONE. Tatsuomi Hamada, who plays Riku Asakura/Ultraman Geed from Ultraman Geed, will be playing the titular protagonist Mob.
It has also been announced that prolific director Koichi Sakamoto (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, Kamen Rider W) is set to helm the drama alongside Koba Fuminori as producer. Fuminori commented that there will be “intense psychic ability battle scenes”, using both tokusatsu and VFS effects.
Additionally, the drama will broadcast on Terebi Tokyo and others from 2018/01, every Thursday at 1:00am to 1:30am.
Lastly, Hamada commented:
“It wasn’t clear to me how to portray a minimalist character like Mob, but I was determined to do it and now I’m really excited. There’s an abundant of individual characters surrounding Mob, as we evil spirits, I’m looking forward to what show it will become as we now move into filming!”
