Godzilla: Monster Planet Reveals 5 New Characters
Toho Animation and Polygon pictures 3D CG anime film reveals five new characters.
Godzilla: Monster Planet, the first film of a 3DCG anime film trilogy for the Godzilla franchise, has recently revealed the visuals, names, and voice actors for 5 new characters.
Daisuke Ono (Jotaro Kujo from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders) as Eliott Leland – a 32 year old English colonel and the leader of the operation to recapture Earth. Eliott is frustrated with the governance of the colony ship and hopes to shake things up and solidify his own power by defeating Godzilla.
Kenta Miyake (El of the Earth from Kamen Rider Agito, Zeus Org from Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger: Fire Mountain Roars) as Rilu-elu Belu-be – a 55 year old (approximately 35 in human years) alien from planet Belusard. Rilu-elu serves as a military instructor, and he’s spent so much time around humans that it’s difficult to tell that he belongs to an alien species.
Kenyu Horiuchi (Ultraman from Ultraman Story) as Unberto Mori – a 56 year old Italian general and the captain of the colony ship Aratrum. Prior to emigrating to space with the rest of humanity, Unberto was a soldier who fought in a failed attempt to destroy Godzilla.
Kazuhiro Yamaji (Apollon from Saint Seiya) as Endurph – a 105 year old (approximately 50 in human years) alien of the Exif species. Endurph is a cardinal in the Exif’s religious order, and he also serves in the military in a civilian capacity.
Kazuya Nakai (Garu/Ookami Blue from Uchu Sentai Kyuranger, Ultraman Max from Ultraman Max) as Halu-elu Dolu-do – a 70 year old (about 40 in human years) alien of planet Belusard. Halu-elu is a lieutenant-general and the commander of his people, and he is know for having an unflappable and sober disposition.
Godzilla: Monster Planet is being produced by Toho Animation and Polygon Pictures. It will open in Japan on November 17th, 2017. Additionally, the film will be having a world premiere on Netflix after its opening, being the film’s digital distributor.
