Super Sentai and Kamen Rider Move to New Time in October
Published on
It has been announced that the two franchises will move to a new broadcast time for the first time in 20 years.
Super Sentai has aired at 7:30 AM on Sundays since 1997’s Denji Sentai Megaranger moved to a new time slot with its 7th episode. Kamen Rider has aired there at 8:00 AM since its return to TV screens in 2000 with Kamen Rider Kuuga.
Uchu Sentai Kyuranger will now air at 9:30 AM while Kamen Rider will serve as its lead in program at 9:00 AM on Sundays.
The former broadcast slot will be taken by a news program titled Sunday Live, featuring Noriyuki Higashiyama of the Johnny’s Entertainment idol group, Shonentai.

With this schedule change, will Precure still air at 8:30 or is it going to come on after Sentai at 10? Is that known?

Okay, I looked into it further, apparently this news propgram runs from 5:50 to 8:30, so Precure still starts at 8:30 but now it will be beginning the block rather than ending it. Then KR and Sentai and then other stuff. Heybot is ending and not being replaced so the formerly 2 hour kids block is down to 90 minutes. I wonder what the reason was. Declining ratings perhaps?
