Restaurant to Another World‘s anime adaptation announces new details alongside a promo video, including some new cast members, voiced by tokusatsu actors.
The official website for the anime adaptation of Junpei Inuzuka’s light novel series Restaurant to Another World (Isekai Shokudō) announced a handful of new details alongside a new promo video for the anime. This new information came in the form of new cast characters.
This new casting announcement features Kiyono Yasuno (Tina Kobayakawa from Wake Up, Girls!, Megumi Katō from Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend) as Sarah the treasure hunter, Shizuka Itō (Minako Aino/Sailor Venus from Sailor Moon Crystal, Irina Jelávic from Assassination Classroom) as the Red Queen the legendary dragon demon, Hōchū Ōtsuka (Signalman from Gekisou Sentai Carranger, Deneb/Kamen Rider Zeronos Vega Form from Kamen Rider Den-O) as Tatsugorō the great and famous master swordsman, Motomu Kiyokawa (Ultraman King from Ultraman Leo, Alien Babarue from Ultraman Mebius) as Altorius the legendary magician and the oldest regular customer at the restaurant, Tomokazu Sugita as Heinrich Seelemann (Kivat-bat the 2nd/3rd/4th from Kamen Rider Kiva, Ultraman Ginga & Dark Lugiel from Ultraman Ginga) who is a knight for a certain dukedom and the commander of a remote fortress, and Fumihiko Tachiki (Narrator for Kamen Rider Kuuga, Narrator&Gaia Memory for Kamen Rider W) as Alphonse.
The new cast will be joining the previously reported cast members: Junichi Suwabe (Loverica Bugster from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Lamp Shadow from Ressha Sentai ToQger) as the restaurant’s shopkeeper, Sumire Uesaka (Fubuki from Kantai Collection, Mai Kawakami from Myriad Colors Phantom World) as Aletta who is the daughter of a magical being who works at the restaurant one day a week, and Saori Ōnishi (Aiz Wallenstein from Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Eriri Spencer Sawamura from Saekano ) as Kuro who is a waitress at the restaurant.
The promo showcases both the opening theme “One in a Billion” sung by Wake Up, Mayn! (May’n is credited as an astronaut for her collaboration CD single for the Kamen Rider Fourze ED theme “Giant Step“), and the ending theme “Chiisana Hitotsubu” sung by Kiyono Yasuno.
Lastly, as previously announced, Masato Jinbo (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!!, Chaos;Child) was announced to helm the adaptation at SILVER LINK, also overseeing its script; and both Takao Sano (Chitose Get You!!, Shomin Sample) and Keiichi Sano (Heaven’s Memo Pad, Absolute Duo) are announced to adapt Katsumi Inami’s original character designs. The anime will premiere on July 3rd.
