New Casting and Story Information for Zyuohger V-Cinema Revealed
New casting and plot details have been released for the upcoming Zyuohger V-Cinema, Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger Returns: Give me your life! The Great Ruler of the Earth Battle.
Recently, some additional casting information and new story information has been revealed for the Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger V-Cinema, Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger Returns: Give me your life! The Great Ruler of the Earth Battle.
To start off, Rakugoka (Rakugo practitioner) Taihei Hayashiya was announced as the main villain of the film, Pokane Da Niro, who is a Space Mafia boss. Hayashiya is a regular in “Shoten”, a Japanese-style comedy show that is one of the few with a longer run than the Super Sentai franchise itself, being 50 years on the air.
Additionally, Rie Kugimiya (Alphonse Elric from Full Metal Alchemist and Tetsu Inada (Doggie Kruger/DekaMaster from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger) has been revealed to be attached to the film as voice actors.
In the upcoming V-Cinema, Earth has become a planet in which humans and Zyumen coexist. The six Zyuohgers were all living their respective lives in peace. Until one day, they received an invitation for a martial arts competition to decide the Ruler of the Earth. Yamato, Sela, Leo, and Misao decide to participate since deciding a new Ruler of the Earth would help strengthen the bonds between humans and Zyumen. Tusk and Amu as well as Perle go to show support.
Sela and Leo win through the competition and the time for their fateful battle draws near. However, in reality, the competition has been planned by Space Mafia boss Pokane Da Niro to make money. Bud has found out and together with Yamato, infiltrates his hideout. There, they discover that Pokane plans to turn humans and Zyumen into jewels to sell for profit. Bud, trying to protect Yamato, is turned into a jewel! Having narrowly escaped, Yamato now infiltrates Pokane’s casino to save the Earth!
Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger Returns: Give me your life! The Great Ruler of the Earth Battle is set for a release date of June 28th, 2017, and is written by Jin Tanaka with director, Noboru Takemoto.
