Gekisou Sentai Carranger US DVD Release Revealed
A pre-order listing has gone up for Shout! Factory’s English subtitled release of Gekisou Sentai Carranger.
Power Rangers NOW noted the pre-order listing on Amazon.com early Friday morning. An official press release and confirmation from Shout! Factory has yet to be announced. However, Brian Ward, Senior Director of Video Production and Digital Media for Shout! Factory noted on Twitter in response to fans:
Clarifying that, while there’s an Amazon product page, and we’re analyzing masters, this could easily change. Lots of factors. Stay tuned. https://t.co/iJaz7rpF7Y

The 48 episode series would be the fifth in Shout! Factory’s American Super Sentai releases, following Zyuranger, Dairanger, Kakuranger, and Ohranger.
As noted by the Amazon listing, the set is scheduled to be released on April 25, 2017.
Carranger originally aired in 1996 and was written by Yoshio Urasawa. The series took a comedic light and parodied staple elements in the Super Sentai series.

Did anyone else’s Carranger DVD copy have messed up subtitles or was it just mine? The subtitles on mine had the timings off for some episodes and others had dialogue that wasn’t even translated or had spelling errors or had katakana and other symbols appearing in the subs.
