Daichi Miura’s Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Opening Tops Oricon Music Charts
Singer Daichi Miura wins 1st place in Oricon Weekly Single Ranking for Kamen Rider Ex-Aid opening theme song, EXCITE.
Singer Daichi Miura (29) performed the Kamen Rider Ex-Aid theme song “EXCITE”. It sold three million copies in digital sales the first week of its release(January 18,2017), reaching 1st place in the 1/30 Oricon Weekly Single Ratings, and sold 29,789 physical copies.
Miura first made his debut at nine years old as a 3rd grade Elementary School student at the Okinawa Actors School, where he performed with actress Hikari Mitsushima and singer AKINA in the group “Folder”. After suspending his career due to his voice changing, he made his solo debut in March 2005. He previously ranked 6th place with “Just Touch~ Always With You – / It’s The Right Time” in December 2002, and 3rd place with “Fever” in September 2015.
Miura has been referred to as the “Japanese Michael Jackson” for his outstanding singing ability and dance skills. His performance power in his music videos is a worldwide topic. After his first appearance on TV Asahi’s Music Station last may, he has gained more attention. Tickets sold out within 1 minute for his first performance at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan on January 22, 2017.
Daichi Miura is extremely pleased to start the new year reaching in 1st place on the Oricon Weekly Rating and his first performance at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium. Miura remarks, “I will continue to challenge myself. I will keep trying hard and I will do my best”.
