Uchu Sentai Kyuranger Cast and Story Details Revealed

The cast for the upcoming Super Sentai series, Uchu Sentai Kyuranger, has been announced along with plot details.

Uchu Sentai Kyuranger will be the 41st work in the Super Sentai series.  The show utilizes space and constellations as its motif while also containing a nine member team from the beginning, the largest in Super Sentai history.

The story takes place in the distant future after the universe has been dominated by the evil Jack Matter organization. The Kyuranger are warriors chosen by the Kyutama to transform, with each member representing a different constellation.

There are two types of members in the team, the human types, composed of ShishiRed/Lucky, ScorpionOrange/Stinger, HebitsukaiSilver/Naga Ray, ChameleonGreen/Hammy, and KajikiYellow/Spada. The second group of members are fully alien, composed of OkamiBlue/Garu, the mechanical TenbinGold/Balance, OushiBlack/Champ, and the eagle android WashiPink/Rapter283.

The cast for Kyuranger are as follows:

• ShishiRed/Lucky will be played by Kizu Takumi (19). Lucky is an adventurer traveling in space from the Shishi System.
  
• ChameleonGreen/Hammy will be played by Ookuba Sakurako (18). Hammy is a space ninja born in the Chameleon system.

• KajikiYellow/Spada will be portrayed by Sakakihara Tetsuji (27). Spada is a cook who aims to be the very best in the universe, from the Kajiki system.

• HebitsukaiSilver/Naga Ray will be played by Yamazaki Taiki (21). Naga Rey is an emotionless warrior from the Hebitsukai system.

• ScorpionOrange/Stinger will be portrayed by Kishi Yousuke (23). Stinger is a mysterious warrior from the Scorpio system.

OkamiBlue/Garu is a half beastman from the Okami system.

TenbinGold/Balance is a thief and mechanical life form originally from the Tenbin system.

OushiBlack/Champ is a robot wrestling champion from the Oshi system.

WashiPink/Rapter283 is a pilot android from the Washi system.

Super Sentai typically introduces new members as the series progresses but this will be the first time in its history that the series starts with nine(Kyu) members, paving the way to the new generation by surpassing shows such as Go(5)Ranger. The suits are designed by Area 51 artist Masato Hisa, each taking on unique design aspects beyond different colors.

Shibasaki Takayuki will be the head director for Kyuranger with Nobuhiro Mori as head writer, who has written multiple episodes for Kamen Rider OOO, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, Kamen Rider Gaim, Kamen Rider Drive, Shuriken Sentai Ninninger, and Kamen Rider Ghost. This is his first series as head writer. Hirofumi Fukuzawa will return as the action director. TV Asahi producer Motoi Sasaki serves as chief producer. This will be the first time a TV Asahi producer serves as chief producer on a Sentai series.
