New Cutie Honey -Tears- Trailer Drops

A new trailer for Toei’s latest Cutie Honey project just hit YouTube.

Cutie Honey -Tears- is the latest entry in legendary Go Nagai’s popular franchise. It stars Mariya Nishiuchi (Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches), a model and singer-songwriter. Nishiuchi performs the film’s theme song, “BELIEVE,” which you can hear during the trailer.

This is the franchise’s third foray into tokusatsu. Hideaki Anno directed the Cutie Honey film in 2004, and the television show Cutie Honey: The Live premiered in 2007.

Cutie Honey -Tears- is directed by Asai Takeshi. The film comes out October, 1st of this year.
