Bluefin Announces SDCC Exclusive Figures
Bluefin Tamashii Nations has recently announced their line up of SDCC 2016 exclusives, featuring a wide range of brands and products.
Bluefin is holding nothing back this year at San Diego Comic Con. Between the large number of exclusive products, new product reveals, and existing products on display from a multitude of franchises, there’s a little bit of something for everyone. Bluefin plans to offer products for several franchises including Godzilla, Gundam, Dragon Ball, Naruto, Sailor Moon, Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Voltron, and more.
For the Godzilla fans, Bluefin is bringing an all-new Gigantic Series Godzilla figure to the con, painted to depict the monster as he appears in the Godzilla vs. Destroyah film from 1995. This 19″ tall beast measures 35″ in width and costs a hefty $500 on the convention floor.
For the GunPla fans, Bluefin is offering a special HGBF Beargguy Double Happiness Version GunPla from the Gundam Build Fighters series. This version of the kid is only made for events, and is designed after the appearance of a Chinese wedding dress. This item is highly limited to one per person from Preview Night until Saturday morning for $28.
Star Wars fans will enjoy the Special Edition of the Meisho Movie Realization Sandtrooper. To differentiate this release from those of the past, this special edition includes a charcoal black right pauldron to show his high ranking status. Also included with the figure are two gun powder rifles as well as a katana for weapons, a large backpack, alternate white pauldron, and six additional hands. The Sandtrooper can be picked up on the show floor for $90.
Anime fans will have three awesome toys to look forward to from the S.H.Figuarts line at SDCC. Sailor Moon fans can get their hands on Black Lady, the dark version of Chibiusa. Black Lady includes the dark Luna-P Ball, a support base, a badminton set, shawl, shawl support parts, exclusive Tamashii Stage, interchangeable hands, and interchangeable face parts. Naruto fans will get to enjoy Naruto Sage Mode. Naruto includes interchangeable hands, faces, kunai, and additional battle effect parts. Both figures retail for $53 each.
Fans of Dragon Ball get an all-new edition not even released in Japan with the release of S.H.Figuarts Broly – Premium Color Edition. The Premium Color Editions have been released for a number of characters thus far, and Broly marks the next release in this series set on giving fans the best paint and color they can achieve. Broly in his new color scheme includes additional hands, additional face expressions, and three energy-sphere effect parts. Broly, being a larger S.H.Figuarts, release sells for $70.
Finally, while not exclusive to the show, those attending SDCC will be the first to be able to purchase the S.H.Figuarts release of Leonardo and Donatello, two of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the original ’80’s cartoon series. Leonardo includes six additional hands, an alternate head, two katana, sheaths, and two manhole covers. Donatello includes six additional hands, an alternate head, bo staff, staff holster for his back, and of course, a pizza. Both Turtles retail for $62.99 each. Fans not attending SDCC will be able to purchase all four Turtles at other retailers in the future.
Which Bluefin exclusive are you most excited for? If none of the available exclusives are your thing, Bluefin will still be unveiling new product at the show, such as the first physical look at the upcoming Soul of Chogokin Voltron figure due for release next year.
