Tamashii Nations has revealed the next member of their “Super Combination” series of Chogokin robots: Woody Robo Sheriff Star, based around Pixar’s Toy Story series.

The “Chou Gattai” (or “Super Combination”) series began in the Chogokin line with the “Chou Gattai King Robo Mickey & Friends” toy released on March 30th, 2013. As the name suggests, this was a Disney themed combiner robot. The line continued in November, 2014 with the release of the “Chou Gattai SF Robo Fujiko F Fujio Characters” toy. This released centered around a combiner robot built with Doraemon characters.

The series returns this November 25th, 2016 with the “Toy Story Chou Gattai Woody Robo Sheriff Star.” As you might have guessed, this five part combiner robo is themed around characters from the Toy Story series. Woody forms the main body. Slinky Dog and Bullseye form the arms, while Rex and Hamm form the legs. Each segment ranges from 100mm to 220mm and each feature various pieces of diecast metal to stay true to the Chogokin brand. All five form together to create Sheriff Star, standing 230mm tall.

To promote the toy, Bandai has put together a short animation featuring the characters partnering with the giant robot Transitron from the Toy Story of Terror! short to battle Kaiju Trixie, the triceratop character from the series.

Fans of Toy Story may wonder why Buzz Lightyear isn’t included. Tamashii Nations has teased a solo release of Buzz! More information is slated to be released July 21st, 2016. The teaser implies Buzz will have a combination with Sheriff Star. Stay tuned for more info.

Okay, there’s no way Buzz won’t be a Scrander-style wing/jet pack for the robot.
