“Shuriken Sentai Ninninger Returns” Story Details Revealed
Details regarding the upcoming Shuriken Sentai Ninninger Returns: Ninnin Girls vs Boys FINAL WARS movie have been revealed following the finale of the TV series.
Please note story spoilers for the Ninninger finale are mentioned below.
FINAL WARS takes place two years after the series, following the death of the team’s grandfather, Yoshitaka Igasaki, who perished at the hands of Kyuuemon. Takaharu and Fuuka’s mother, Sakurako Igasaki, will appear and be portrayed by actress, Shinobu Nakayama. Nakayama has appeared in the tokusatsu films Gamera: Guardian of the Universe and Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris.
When a Gashadokuro suddenly appears, a group known as the Ninnin Girls, composed of Fuuka and Kasumi, arrive to fight the creature. Takaharu, Yakumo, Kinji, and Nagi create their own version of the group, the Ninnin Boys, to face off against the girls in a duel.
To even the odds, Sakurako and a new Ninninger, Midoninger, will join the Ninnin Girls in the duel. Midoninger’s human identity is Luna Kokonoe and is played by Megumi Han, who voiced Kyuuemon in the series.
The groups will then be forced to put their differences aside when a revived Ariake no Kata and Magetsu Kibaoni return from the dead.
The Blu-ray/DVD release will feature two versions, a limited edition and a “Super Complete” edition. There will also be a “Super Complete and Nin Shuriken” edition containing a green Nin Shuriken.
Shuriken Sentai Ninnnger Returns: Ninnin Girls vs Boys FINAL WARS will be released on June 22nd.
