Superhero Year Movie Website Opens

The website for the 45th Kamen Rider and 40th Super Sentai anniversary project opened on January 1st.

Toei has launched the official website for Superhero Year, the joint banner project celebrating the anniversaries of its Kamen Rider and Super Sentai franchises, which began in 1971 with Kamen Rider and 1975 with Himitsu Sentai Goranger, respectively. Although this is the 41st year since the creation of Super Sentai, Toei celebrates the franchise based on the number of series produced thus far.

Announced as “chapter 1” of the project is a movie called Kamen Rider #1. The website’s splash image features what appears to be an updated take on the original Kamen Rider character, Kamen Rider #1.

Kamen Rider #1 opens in theaters on March 26th, 2016.
