Kaijumax and Monstress Up for Comics Alliance Best of 2015

Two comics featured in the TokuNet Comics Corner are up for Comics Alliance’s 2015 awards.

The Tokusatsu Network’s newest regular feature, the “TokuNet Comics Corner,” covers tokusatsu and kaiju related works in the world of comic books. We try to track down both the best comics currently out, and the best comics from the past. Two such comics, one that’s just started and another that recently finished its first arc, are being recognized by popular comics news site, Comics Alliance, in their CA Best of 2015 polls.

First, CA had readers chime in on Twitter to nominate titles for each category, and now the selections are being narrowed down by the polls on the CA website. Zander Cannon’s prison drama Kaijumax is up for Best Sci-Fi Comic, and Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda’s tragic fantasy Monstress is up for Best First Issue. Be sure to go vote and let the comics world at large know that kaiju are a force to be reckoned with.
