“Ultra Monster Calendar 2016” Available for Preorder

A large-format calendar celebrating the Ultra series‘ 50th anniversary comes out this month.

The Ultra series was started by Eiji Tsuburaya back in 1966 and has remained one of tokusatsu’s main franchises ever since. To get fans ready for next year’s momentous occasion, Hagoromo put together a calendar focused on the series’ iconic kaiju. The creatures featured in the calendar come from the three shows that started it all, Ultra Q, Ultraman, and Ultra Seven.

The calendar is 30cm x 30cm (60cm x 30cm when open), and features 28 full-color pages. There is a bonus gallery included with the calendar that showcases some merchandise from the era.

The calendar costs 2000 yen plus tax, and can be bought from Amazon Japan.
