Toei Officially Announces Kamen Rider Ghost
Toei has officially announced Kamen Rider Ghost, the next installment in Toei’s long-running Kamen Rider franchise.
In preparation for the upcoming press conference, Japanese news outlets have formally announced Kamen Rider Ghost. This series marks the first time a ghost motif has been used in the history of the show. It also marks the first time historical figures have been the inspiration behind forms in the series.
In this series, our main hero will use items called Ghost Eyecons (眼魂, literally meaning “eye soul”) to transform. Each Eyecon allows the user to syncronize with the spirit of deceased heroes and historical figures such as the legendary swordsman Musashi Miyamoto, or the prodigy inventor Thomas Edison, using their skills and abilities to fight evil.
We revealed at last months press event that Kamen Rider Ghost will be making his debut on August 8th with a cameo appearance in Kamen Rider Drive‘s upcoming summer film Kamen Rider Drive: Surprise Future.
