Legendary Comics Announced New Pacific Rim Comic

Legendary Comics has announced a new Pacific Rim comic mini-series will be coming later this year.

Following up on the announcement made by Guillermo del Toro last summer, the new mini-series, Pacific Rim: Tales From The Drift, will pick up where the previous comic, Tales From Year Zero, left off. The story will be a prequel, set during the early years of the war between the Jaeger robots and the Kaiju invaders.

Tales From The Drift, presented by del Toro and original screenwriter Travis Beacham, and written by Joshua Fialkov (Elk’s Run, Echoes, Doctor Who), promises new monsters to fight and will feature other established Jaegers like Tacit Ronin (seen above).

To celebrate the launch, Legendary Comics is running a competition on PacficRimArt.com where fans can win art from comic, along with a massive Pacific Rim prize pack.

Pacfic Rim: Tales From The Drift will be released across four issues starting this November.
