Suit Actor, Yoshifumi Oshikawa, to Retire This Spring
Yoshifumi Oshikawa, long time suit actor known for such roles as Red Buster, KyoryuRed, ToQ#1, and Kamen Rider Garren, will bring his career to an end this Spring.
During an online broadcast Oshikawa announced his intention to retire from JAC (Japan Action Club), the stunt group used by Toei for its Super Sentai and Kamen Rider productions, after the release of Super Hero Wars: Kamen Rider #3.
Oshikawa will return to the role of Deneb (Kamen Rider Den-O) in the latest crossover film featuring heroes from both of Toei’s long running tokusatsu series. The actor cites a desire to lead the life of a “normal father” as the driving force behind his decision to retire from the industry.
I would like to announce that I am quitting JAC (JAE) to become a full time father.
The upcoming Super Hero Wars film will see the return of Yuichi Nakamura as Kamen Rider Zeronos, who the Imagin Deneb was partnered to in the 2007 series, Kamen Rider Den-O.

As for Mr. Oshikawa, I wish him well in the future for raising his family. He will be the audience for sentai and KR instead of one of the attractions.
On another note, the JAC is something I’d like to see in an interview or discussion. I know sentai actors used to be pulled straight from this club and put into role but now they mostly focus on putting models and others with minimal action experience in main character roles.
Does the JAC still work with other movies and production in Japan? They used to help Sonny Cbiba too if I am not mistaken. It is a topic I’d like to see talked about I guess, saying this I enjoy Japanese action movies from the 80s and onward.
