Trigger’s Denkou Choujin Gridman Anime Short Released
Trigger’s previously announced Denkou Choujin Gridman anime short is now available for online viewing.
Denkou Choujin Gridman: boys invent great hero was made as part of the Studio Khara (Rebuild of Evangelion) Japan Animator Expo. The short revolves around Takeshi Todo, the former antagonist character from the original Gridman TV series, and his involvement in a new crisis with monsters appearing. The story shares elements from the proposed sequel to Gridman (which saw life as a comic), Gridman Sigma, which also involved a reformed Takeshi fighting a new threat to the Computer World.
The short was produced by Trigger, the animation studio behind Kill La Kill and Little Witch Academia. Akira Amemiya (Inferno Cop, Gurren Lagann Parallel Works) directed it, with animation director Yusuke Yoshigaki serving as Character Designer.
