ToQGer To Get Special Promotional Train for Summer Film

Ressha Sentai ToQger summer  film, Express Sentai ToQger THE MOVIE: Galaxy Line SOS will have a special train wrap advertising called the “Special ToQ Express” beginning on the 14th to commemorate the release of the new film.

An unveiling event was held at the Keikyu Shinagawa Station. Tsutomu Sekine, who plays the Conductor, Jun Shison, who plays ToQ #1, and Haruka Fukuhara, who plays Lady, all attended the event.

When the train arrived at the platform, Sekine had a look of surprise.

“This is really exciting,” he said in an admiring tone while examining the train intently. “It’s so cool! The inside is in ToQger style also! Fantastic!”

“I think I’d like to ride it several times dressed as the Conductor,” he added.

Also apparently very impressed, Jun Shison said enthusiastically, “I’d love to give it a try myself!”

“It’s a really appealing train; I want everyone to ride it!” added Fukuhara with a smile.

Sekine previously appeared in one episode of Himitsu Sentai GoRanger in 1976, playing a truck driver that fell in love with Momoranger, but this marks the first time he has appeared in a regular role in sentai. When asked about his young co-stars, Sekine said, “I was telling Kagura (Ai Moritaka, ToQ #5) about Chiushingura but she didn’t know what it was. There’s definitely a generation gap.”

“But in my own mind I’ve kind of permanently stopped aging at about 27 years old, so it’s no problem,” he said cheerfully. “I guess that makes me just a little bit their senior.”

Also, Shinagawa Station, where the event was held, was also a memorable place for him: “In high school, I went to school near here in Aomonoyokocho.”

The special ToQger livery was planned in association with the Keisei Electric Railway, the Keihin Electric Express Railway Co, the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation, and KitaSo Railway. It will be in use from July 19th to September 5th, and will run from the Keikyu Line, Misakiguchi Station, to Keisei Line Narita Station during the morning and evening rush hour on Express, Limited Express, and Airport Express trains.

Express Sentai ToQger THE MOVIE: Galaxy Line SOS will release in theaters nationwide on July 19th as a double feature along with Kamen Rider Gaim: Great Soccer Battle! The Golden Fruit Cup.
