Ultraman Tiga Complete Blu-Ray Box Coming This September
Following their three-part Blu-Ray box set of the original Ultraman television series , Tsuburaya will be releasing a complete Ultraman Tiga Blu-Ray Box Set this Fall.
One of the more popular entries in the franchise, Ultraman Tiga was broadcast as part of the Ultra Series’ 30th Anniversary in 1996. The show starred Hiroshi Nagano from legendary boy-band V6 (who also did the series’ iconic theme song, “Take Me Higher”) as Agent Daigo of the Global Unlimited Task Squad or “GUTS”. When monsters begin to roam the Earth, Daigo gains the ability to turn into the titular Tiga, an ancient “giant of light” who can save the world. The series saw a brief appearance in America, albeit dubbed and edited, as part of 4Kids Entertainment’s FoxBox programming block.
The 9-disc set will contain all 52 remastered television episodes, the film Ultraman Tiga: The Final Odyssey, and the straight-to-video Tiga side-story movie, Revival of the Ancient Giant. It will also come with special features from the recent Tiga Memorial Set, including cast interviews, behind-the-scenes featurettes, a GUTS Mecha Chronicle, and more.
The Ultraman Tiga Complete Blu-Ray Box will be released in Japan on September 24th for 48,600 yen.

Just preordered, as I am a huge fan of the Heisei Ultra shows, though I hope this does well so that we can get one for Gaia as well, my all time fav Ultra series (as many fans would know why)

Will the episodes be in actual HD or just upscaled like the Faiz and Ryuki blu-rays? What about the movies?
