New Robot Keiji Manga Announced
A new manga series based on Shotaro Ishinomori’s Robot Keiji manga and tokusatsu from the 70’s was announced today at the Kamen Rider and Super Sentai Live and Show Superhero Festival.
The new manga series is the second announced Ishinomori property to see a revival this year, following the recently revealed Kikaider REBOOT film headed to theaters later this year.
The original Robot Keiji manga and tokusatsu featured a robotic detective by the name of K who solved crimes and fought villains on a weekly basis during his 26 episode TV tokusatsu series.
Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi will write and draw this new manga series. The pair are known as the creators of the Linebarrels of Iron manga series that saw an anime adaptation in 2008. This will be the pair’s second tokusatsu themed manga series following the recent ULTRAMAN manga, a title that sees the son of Hayata, the lead from the original Ultraman TV series, fighting monsters in a Ultraman robot.

Oh, hell no. You DO NOT mess with Robot Keiji’s red, double breasted blazer.
