TOKU Channel To Premiere “Ultraman Max” in February
Olympusat, Inc. channel, TOKU, announced late last week via Twitter that it will premiere Ultraman Max in February.
Olympusat, Inc. TOKU channel, formerly the FUNimation channel, gave English-speaking Ultra series fans a cause to rejoice. Announced last Friday via Twitter, the TOKU channel will begin airing Ultraman Max February.
The original show began airing in Japan in July, 2005, and was brought to Crunchyroll in October, 2014, for the US, Canada, Latin America, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. This Ultraman series has been well-known among fans for paying homage to previous installments by including cameo appearances from old characters, updated versions of classic kaiju, and a return to the previously-abandoned “monster of the week” formula.

The FUNimation channel was re-branded as TOKU on December 31, 2015 in an effort to reflect the shifting focus of the channel to include more live-action programs. Ultraman Max is another example of how TOKU is continuing with this strategy.
The TOKU channel is available in the United States via AT&T U-verse channel 1484 and on-demand channels such as XFinity or Optimum.
UPDATE – TOKU has announced the series will premiere at 7:00 PM on February 27th. The series will not air in its original Japanese and instead be broadcast with an English dub.
