Naomi Scott Cast as the Pink Ranger in New Power Rangers Movie
The upcoming Power Rangers feature film has cast actress Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger.
Scott is a relatively unknown actress, having been previously cast in Disney’s Lemonade Mouth as well as NBC’s short lived Terra Nova. Most recently, she played a role in Ridley Scott’s The Martian. The actress was born in London, England and is currently 22 years old.
The announcement was made on the movie’s official Instagram account. The posting lists her simply as “The Pink Ranger”. While the casting sides listed the characters by their original names, it is unknown if she will be playing the role of Kimberly, or if the Ranger will take on a new name for the reboot.
The Power Rangers film is currently being produced by Haim Saban, Brian Cassentini (of Saban Brands), and Allison Shearmur (Cinderella) with a script being written by X-Men: First Class and Thor writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz. The film is being directed by The Almanac director Dean Isrealite. Power Rangers is set to release on January 13, 2017.

Oh, well that makes me alot happier. If that story thing they showed us was true, I was kinda scared they would be actual 16 year old actors, and I really don’t feel like watching a bunch of 16 year olds making out.
