No Charges Filed Against Power Rangers Actor, Ricardo Medina Jr., in Fatal Stabbing
Los Angeles County prosecutors have held off pressing charges against Power Rangers: Wild Force and Samurai actor, Ricardo Medina Jr., in the fatal stabbing of his roommate.
District Attorney spokesman, Ricardo Santiago, stated that further investigation was needed before prosecutors decide to charge Medina with murder. Due to the lack of charges, Medina would most likely be released.
As reported on Saturday, Medina was taken into custody by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office after Medina called to report the stabbing of his roommate, Joshua Sutter, at their home in Palmdale, California.
According to reports, Medina got into an argument with his roommate that resulted in a physical altercation. Medina then returned to his room with his girlfriend but was followed by Sutter, who forced his way into the room. Medina is said to have stabbed Sutter in the abdomen with a sword that he kept in his room. Sutter was taken to the hospital where he later passed away.
Medina got his start in acting as Cole Evans, the Red Wild Force Ranger in 2002’s Power Rangers Wild Force. He later returned to the franchise in 2011 as a new character named Deker in Power Rangers Samurai and 2012’s Power Rangers Super Samurai.
