“Shuriken Sentai Ninninger will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the franchise series and will start on February 15, 2015.” – What? Ninnenger is only the 39th… :/

Goranger went for two years, so technically this is the super sentai’s 40th anniversary

While this Sentai is the 39th entry in the series, one of its future episodes will air on the 40th anniversary of Himitsu Sentai Gorenger on April 5, 2015.

This wouldn’t be the first time Toei changes the deciding factor for an anniversary series. That line isn’t from us though, it’s actually on the website, so whether it makes sense or not, it’s official

It celebrates the 40th anniversary in a sense that the show pays homage to Gorenger. Just look at their ranger names. Not to mention Gorenger started airing in 1975. But yes counting the years and series, Ninninger is the 39th.

Remember, Goranger ran for two years, the only Super Sentai to do so AFAIK.
