New Godzilla US Movie Poster Released
Debuting on Yahoo! Movies, a new poster for the 2014 Godzilla movie highlights the King of Monsters surrounded by the ruins of San Francisco.
The speculative discussion about Godzilla’s size is underway, specifically in relation to the surrounding hi-rise buildings in San Francisco.
As pointed out by Yahoo! Movies and Hollywood Reporter, Godzilla towers adjacently to the city’s Transamerica Pyramid building, which stands at 48 floors.
The upcoming reboot will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who played the title role in Kick-Ass, and Elizabeth Olsen. The two will also star side-by-side in the upcoming Avengers sequel Age of Ultron. The reboot’s line up also includes acting legends, Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, and Juliette Binoche.
Furthermore, the lead actor of the original 1954 movie, Akira Takarada will make an appearance as well. However, there is no current word on which role he will play.
In addition to the original Godzilla, Takarada also appeared in subsequent Godzilla films, such as Mothra vs. Godzilla, Godzilla Versus the Sea Monster, and the 2004 Godzilla: Final Wars.
The teaser trailer below was released on the movie’s official YouTube channel in December 2013.
Godzilla will be released in theaters May 16, 2014.
