“Huge Monsters! Giant Robots! Big Action! The Perfect Christmas Combo!”
A Kickstarter has been announced for an upcoming Kaiju-themed children’s book. “A Kaiju Christmas” is inspired by The Night Before Christmas written by Samuel Haine, with illustrations by John Schrad. The story sees a group of children who have to save Christmas from a giant snowman. Haine also has mentioned he has a trilogy in mind for this project, should Haine be interested in continuing with it after the release of Kaiju Christmas.
The two have been working quite fast to see a Christmas deadline for release, with Schrad mentioning he’s illustrated 24 of the 40 pages in only nine months.
The Kickstarter for A Kaiju Christmas is currently open, and will close on October 6th. Haine & Schrad are looking for $5000 for 200 printed copies. The delivery date for backers is currently expected to begin at December 15th.
