This Week in Tokusatsu Merchandise 1/11/21 – 1/15/21

The tokusatsu merchandise roundup for the second week of 2021 features a fresh new batch of merchandise highlighting the 50th Anniversary of Kamen Rider as well as for Kamen Rider Saber and Juken Sentai Gekiranger. 

Kicking off this week’s roundup we first have the Kamen Rider Saber & Kamen Rider Series chibi t-shirts. Each shirt features chibi versions of: Kamen Rider Kuuga, Kamen Rider Agito, Kamen Rider Ryuki, Kamen Rider Faiz, Kamen Rider Blade, Kamen Rider Hibiki, Kamen Rider Kabuto, Kamen Rider Den-O, Kamen Rider Kiva, Kamen Rider Decade, Kamen Rider Double, Kamen Rider OOO, Kamen Rider Fourze, Kamen Rider Wizard, Kamen Rider Gaim, Kamen Rider Drive, Kamen Rider Ghost, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Kamen Rider Build, Kamen Rider Zi-O, Kamen Rider Zero-One, and Kamen Rider Saber. There are two types available: whole body pattern and bust-up pattern. The shirts are made of 100% cotton and come in sizes: M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).

The Kamen Rider Saber & Kamen Rider Series chibi t-shirts from various Kamen Rider series will go for 3,300 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in March 2021. Preorders are being accepted starting January 13, 2021, at 10:00 JST.

Traveling to the Fantastic Bookstore Kamiyama, we have the latest wave of the “Written Words” apparel collection. “Written Words” is the brand that Touma Kamiyama/Kamen Rider Saber wears in the Kamen Rider Saber TV series. This wave includes: a book cover case, black dotted shirt with scarf, and roll-up shoulder bag.

The Kamen Rider Saber Touma Kamiyama “Written Words” book cover case is usually seen hooked on the belt loop of his pants. Touma Kamiyama wears it in the opening credits as well as the ending and every episode. The product is designed with the “WW” original logo. It is made of cowhide and measures a length of approximately 11 cm x width of approximately 8.5 cm. The machi measures approximately 2.5 cm and the strap length measures approximately 12 cm.

The Kamen Rider Saber Touma Kamiyama “Written Words” book cover case from Kamen Rider Saber will go for 23,100 Yen (tax included).

The Kamen Rider Saber Touma Kamiyama “Written Words” black dotted shirt with scarf is a dotted shirt with a vest-type scarf that can also be used as an apron. Since it is a pullover type, you can make various expressions just by tying it or sliding it sideways. The edges of the fabric, such as the hem of the shirt, the side of the vest, the collar, and the hem, are left uncut. Touma Kamiyama is seen wearing it in Kamen Rider Saber Chapters: 9, 10, and 22. The shirt is made of 100% cotton and comes in sizes: S (US XS), M (US S), and L (US M).

The Kamen Rider Saber Touma Kamiyama “Written Words” black dotted shirt with scarf from Kamen Rider Saber will go for 27,500 Yen (tax included).

The Kamen Rider Saber Touma Kamiyama “Written Words” roll-up shoulder bag is the same one in the Tv series used by Touma to turn in manuscripts. If you fasten the leather strap with the metal fittings, it will be compact. Touma Kamiyama is seen wearing it in the opening credits of Kamen Rider Saber as well as Chapters 1 and 16. The body is made of 100% nylon while the strap is made of cowhide. It measures a length of approximately 47.5 cm  x width of approximately 38 cm.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider, the Toei Hero.Net web shop has added new merchandise featuring the 50th anniversary logo.

The Kamen Rider Store Successive Kamen Rider Clear Bookmark Collection features book marks of every main Kamen Rider from Kamen Rider 1 to Kamen Rider Saber plus a secret one. Each is made of PP and measures approx. a width of 50 mm × height of 134 mm. One pack contains one of 38 types of clear bookmarks at random. Clear bookmarks with the same pattern may appear in succession. In addition, the clear bookmark of the desired pattern may not appear.

This face towel is seen in Mashin Sentai Episode 38 “Under Uncle’s Moon” when Sena Hayami/KiramaiGreen is seen giving these to the other Kiramagers and Princess Mabushina as a New Years present. It features the “SCRTC” logo as well as the SCRTC/Gekiranger symbol in red, blue, yellow, violet, and white (for GekiRed, GekiBlue, GekiYellow, GekiViolet, and GekiChopper). It measures approx. width of 297 mm × height of 750 mm. The front is made of 100% polyester and the back is made of 100% cotton.

The Juken Sentai Gekiranger SCRTC face towel from Juken Sentai Gekiranger will go for 1,320 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in February 2021. Preorders are being accepted today.
