Premium Bandai Announces Godzilla x glamb Collaboration
Premium Bandai announces a collaboration between Japanese fashion brand, glamb, and Godzilla featuring phone covers, shirts, a jacket, and a waist pouch.
First in the collaboration is a Godzilla x glamb smartphone cases. Each character is featured on a tempered glass iPhone case from Gizmobies, a mobile protector born in Las Vegas. The square form and the elegant luster will give your iPhone a sense of luxury.
The smartphone cases come in seven designs: Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Hedra, Violante, Mothra, Rodan, and Shin Godzilla. The smartphone cases are compatible with iPhone 7.8, iPhone X.XS, and iPhone 11 Pro and are made of tempered glass and TPU.
The Godzilla x glamb smartphone cases will go for ¥4,950 (tax included) each and are scheduled for shipment in February 2020. Preorders are being accepted until November 25, 2019, at 12:00 JST.
Next, are the Godzilla x glamb t-shirts. The t-shirts come in five designs: Violante, Hedra, Fire Rodan, Mothra, and Shin Godzilla. The t-shirts all are made of 100% cotton and come in sizes XS (US XXS), S (US XS), M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).
Violante is the monster that was born by the fusion of Dr. Shirakami’s girlfriend, Erika, the rose flower cell she loved the most, and Godzilla cells. The t-shirt expresses an eerie appearance with dripping techniques, a hazy appearance, and a bright red rose on the chest. At the center is a sign of “Voice of the Rose” reminiscent of the dialogue “I can hear the voice of the rose”.
Hedra, a monster based on the pollution that became a social problem at the time of its release in 1971, is used as a kitsch collage art together with various scenes. The Latin and English texts of elements and compounds are randomly placed in a graphic drawn with a psychedelic worldview of 70’s culture on the t-shirt. In addition, the catchy figure of Godzilla has been perpetuated, making it a piece that makes you feel the wit of the brand in a variety of ways.
Rodan is the monster that appears the second most frequently after Godzilla and changes its appearance depending on the series. The figure “Fire Rodan” in “Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla” was drawn on a composition inspired by the design of motorcycles and skater culture. The front of the t-shirt is printed with a foreign name “PHOENIX” and the place of birth of Rodan. The back style features a number of works that have appeared so far, and a rocky mood.
Mothra is one of the most popular in the “Godzilla” series and is depicted as the only monster of justice. The motif arrangement found in contemporary art is used as a source for the t-shirt, and six forms of graphics featuring the patterns and shades of the feathers are added to the front. Under each design, “RAINBOW MOTHRA” and “AQUA MOTHRA” form names are placed in an elegant font. Enjoy the history of changes in streetwear as you acquire new abilities to defeat powerful enemies.
The Shin Godzilla t-shirt depicts Godzilla as the “unknown giant” in “Shin Godzilla” with opal processing. Crush velor was bonded to the back of the front and the pattern was exposed by applying an opal solution that melts only cotton onto the graphic mold. A cut-and-sew depicting Godzilla 4th form in street art.
The Godzilla x glamb t-shirts will go for ¥7,590 (tax included) each and are scheduled for shipment in February 2020. Preorders are being accepted until November 25, 2019, at 12:00 JST.
Premium Bandai also has a Godzilla x glamb kids t-shirt. The parts that make up Godzilla’s face have been reconstructed into simple and clear colors and shapes on a kids t-shirt. A playful design that incorporates fashion essences such as sporty lines nurtures children’s interest in art. The kids t-shirt is made of 100% cotton and comes in sizes 100 cm, 110 cm, 120 cm, and 130 cm.
The Godzilla x glamb kids t-shirt will go for ¥3,850 (tax included) each and is scheduled for shipment in February 2020. Preorders are being accepted until November 25, 2019, at 12:00 JST.
Following that there’s the Godzilla x glamb cut-and-sew t-shirt. The second-generation, fourth-generation, third-generation, and first-generation Godzilla are dropped from the left into the four-divided body, creating a graphic of remake as one.
In order to produce an aging expression, the silky screen expresses an unclear rough texture. The back style is a logo-like “GODZILLA” back print, and the mood is full of streets. The t-shirt is made of 100% cotton and comes in sizes: XS (US XXS), S (US XS), M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).
The Godzilla x glamb AGGY CS cut-and-sew t-shirt will go for ¥14,300 (tax included) each and is scheduled for shipment in February 2020. Preorders are being accepted until November 25, 2019, at 12:00 JST.
Then, there’s the Godzilla x glamb Dolman Sleeve cut-and-sew t-shirt featuring Ghidorah. Godzilla’s biggest rival, King Ghidorah, is depicted on an elegant Dolman sleeve, which has a sleeve and body. A golden figure expressed with a polite watercolor touch colors the neck with an outstanding impact. Symmetrical three necks on the front and two tails on the back make up the style. The motif that symbolizes the character is finished in a more luxurious appearance through the filter of the brand. The Dolman Sleeve King Ghidorah t-shirt is made of 100% cotton and comes in sizes: XS (US XXS), S (US XS), M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).
The Godzilla x glamb Dolman Sleeve cut-and-sew t-shirt will go for ¥16,500 (tax included) each and is scheduled for shipment in February 2020. Preorders are being accepted until November 25, 2019, at 12:00 JST.
The collaboration also features a jacket inspired by Godzilla. A Godzilla design is dropped into a mode-like black jacket for a catchy appearance. Aside from glossy prints on the side pockets and back-style logo prints, the biggest feature is the gimmick around the neck. The face of Godzilla is deformed in the hood stored in the zip specification on the stand collar seen on a M65 military jacket, and created it in a high street first place.
In addition, the side of the hood is shaped like a Godzilla fin. Enjoy styling rich in individuality with a playful design. The jacket is made of 100% polyester and comes in sizes: XS (US XXS), S (US XS), M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).
The Godzilla x glamb jacket will go for ¥38,500 (tax included) each and is scheduled for shipment in February 2020. Preorders are being accepted until November 25, 2019, at 12:00 JST.
Lastly, the collaboration features a waist pouch. Godzilla motifs are docked to popular items that are compactly packed, while maintaining sufficient storage when carrying a smartphone or wallet. The character motifs were sublimated well with street sensibilities, such as wrapping teeth on both sides of the zip to express a wild mouth. The waist pouch is made of leather and measures 21cm in length X 47cm in width.
The Godzilla x glamb waist pouch will go for ¥38,500 (tax included) each and is scheduled for shipment in February 2020. Preorders are being accepted until November 25, 2019, at 12:00 JST.
