Yudai Chiba to Act as Ambassador for MAO
The former Super Sentai star will be the ambassador for the prolific manga creator.
Yudai Chiba was announced on September 4 as the ambassador to the new manga series MAO, appointed by Rumiko Takahashi herself. Rumiko Takahashi is best known for her variety of popular manga series, such as Urusei Yatsura, Ranma ½, and Inuyasha.
Chiba has said that he is a very big fan of Takahashi’s works, and he will be appearing in the first volume of the manga that released this past month. MAO is the story of Nanoka Kiba, a young girl who meets Mao, a mysterious boy who was cursed, after a near death experience.
Yudai Chiba previously starred in Tensou Sentai Goseiger as the red ranger Alata. He has since appeared in a variety of different shows including voice roles on Pocket Monsters: Sun & Moon and the protagonist of Final Fantasy XIV: Dad of Light.
