Hiro Mizushima Starts YouTube Channel For Japanese Cooking
The star of Kamen Rider Kabuto begins series of videos on cooking Japanese home-style dishes
This week, actor and author Hiro Mizushima began uploading videos to his YouTube channel to show his approach to learning how to prepare Japanese dishes. The first video, which you can check out below, shows Mizushima making kaarage, otherwise known as Japanese style fried chicken.
In the video, he describes his desire to show an audience how to build up their cooking skills from scratch, as he himself is a beginner as well. The simple-to-follow instructions show how to prepare the Japanese food staple that he hopes his daughter can be proud of.
Mizushima is best know for his starring role as Tendou Souji in 2006’s Kamen Rider Kabuto; a character with a love for cooking and sayings from his grandmother. From there, he has gone on to star in several drama series and movies like Hana-Kimi, Black Butler, and BECK before starting a family in 2009. In 2016, Mizushima had a multi episode appearance on the HBO series Girls. Mizushima now joins the ranks of other former Kamen Rider stars like Ayaka Konno (Kamen Rider Zi-O) and Takayuki Tsubaki (Kamen Rider Blade) who have all recently decided to start their own YouTube channels.
