Lupinranger Actress Haruka Kudo to Star in The Ancient Magus’ Bride Stage Play
The actress, known for playing Lupin Yellow in last year’s Super Sentai season, will take the stage in a new persona.
It was announced in March 2019 that the popular manga series The Ancient Magus’ Bride by Kore Yamazaki would be getting a stage play production. The manga is a dark fantasy story about a young woman who becomes enthralled in a strange otherworldly wizard and discovers self-worth in magic.
A key visual has been released featuring the actors of the stage show in costume. The three characters shown are Chise Hatori (played by Haruka Kudo), Elias Ainsworth (played by Naotaka Kamino), and Joseph (played by Yukito Nishii).
Super Sentai viewers will remember Haruka Kudo as Umika/Lupin Yellow from Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger, which concluded this year. Fans who have watched Kamen Rider Ex-Aid may recognize Yukito Nishii as Tenma, the first civilian to transform into a RidePlayer in the series.
The stage play is set to run from October 5 through October 15, 2019 at the OWL SPOT theater in East Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Japan. Ticket prices range from 7000 yen to 10,000 yen (roughly $66 to $93 respectively) depending on what benefit package is chosen.
