Super Sentai Alumni to Appear Together in Satomi Hakkenden Stage Production
Three different heroes from three different Super Sentai series will be appearing in the stage play.
Kousei Yuki, most well known for his role as Keiichiro Asaka (Patren No. 1) from Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger vs. Keisatsu Senai Patranger, will be appearing in the play as Genpachi Inukai, one of the titular samurai “dogs” of the story. In addition, Takumi Kizu, who is most well known for his role as Lucky (Shishi Red) in Uchuu Sentai Kyuuranger, will be making his stage debut as the character Kobungo Inuta. Finally, Akihisa Shiono, who portrayed Souji Rippukan (Kyoryu Green) in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, will be playing the role of Keno Inusaka.
Satomi Hakkenden is based off the epic novel of the same name as written by Kyokutei Bakin. The story involves the adventures of eight samurai half brothers, who are descended from dogs and thus have surnames that bear the character of dog. The stage play will debut in Tateyama, the city of origin for the original epic novel, on October 14. The stage play is further scheduled in Tokyo from October 17-21, Osaka on November 2 and 3, and Nagoya on November 23 and 24.
