Discotek Media announced their blu-ray release for MegaBeast Investigator Juspion will be released on August 27th.
MegaBeast Investigator Juspion, previously localized as Space Wolf Juspion as named after its ending theme, was Toei’s Metal Hero series following Space Sheriff Shaider’s run. Discotek Media announced at Otakon 2018 that they licensed the show for international release, and they announced the release date on Facebook earlier this week. The full 46-episode Juspion run will release on August 27th, this Summer.
Here is a description of the show according to Discotek Media:
“Juspion’s parents were killed by space pirates when he was just a baby. He was raised by a space hermit and scientist named Eijin, on a planet with the same name. After learning of the shocking prophecy, Eijin dispatches Juspion on a quest to fight the Megabeasts and defeat Satan Gorth. He travels from planet to planet until finally arriving on Earth. Wearing a special suit, he has super human powers and a transforming spaceship named the Daileon. Along with his gynoid companion Anri, and a baby alien creature named Miya, they will try to put an end to Satan Gorth’s evil plans!”
MegaBeast Investigator Juspion will release as a box set with the original show in standard definition with Japanese audio and English subtitles. Pre-orders can be placed through RightStuf, and once again, the collection will be available on August 27th.
