Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie Comes To Blu-Ray

The second theatrical Power Rangers release gets the Blu-Ray treatment from Shout! Factory this summer.

After being released in theaters 22 years ago,Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie is being released on Blu-Ray for the first time via Shout! Factory. Originally released on March 28, 1997 as a canonical lead-in to the Power Rangers Turbo TV series and using suits and designs from Gekisou Sentai Carranger, the movie is described as follows:

The evil space alien Divatox plans to unleash the dark forces of Maligore, a powerful, fiery creature imprisoned inside a volcano on the magical island of Muiranthias. She can reach the island only by traveling through the dangerous Nemesis Triangle, and for that she needs the special powers of the magician Lerigot. But Lerigot flees to Earth, to see the only people who can stand against Divatox and her evil plan — the Power Rangers. Along with the new Blue Ranger, their turbo-powered Zords, and the unexpected help of original Power Rangers Kimberly and Jason, the Power Rangers set out on their most thrilling and dangerous adventure yet!

Starring series regulars Johnny Yong Bosch, Jason David Frank, Catherine Sutherland, and Nakia Burrise, the release will include a behind the scenes look titled Ranger Tales: A Look Back At Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Other extras include the movie trailer and original featurette.

The Blu-Ray for Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie will be released on July 30, 2019.
