Favorite Heisei Super Sentai Teams Ranked By Japanese Fans

Japanese fans were polled on their favorite Super Sentai teams from the Heisei era.

In a recent poll, Japanese people between the ages of 10-60 were asked to see who their favorite Super Sentai teams of the Heisei era were. Out of the 31 series that aired and are currently airing of this era, the 6,753 participants in the poll picked the following series.

First place went to Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, which aired in 2009 and went on to massive popularity across all age groups. Second place went to last season’s Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger vs Keisatsu Sentai Patranger, which was a favorite of men between 20 and 40. In third place was 2001’s Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger, which was the 25th Super Sentai series.

Airing just over a month after the era began, Kousoku Sentai Turboranger was the first Super Sentai series of the Heisei period, extending to the currently airing Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger. It was revealed earlier this month that the Reiwa era will begin on May 1, 2019, meaning that the next Super Sentai team would be the first of this new era.
